July 13, 2002--20 bikes will be coming up from the North West to visit our state and possibly another group from California.  Dates will be know at a later time.

Received paperwork for "adopt-a-highway" program.  Will renew.  We'll set date for first clean up at May meeting when we know the snow is really going to be gone!

Barb Waters is inviting all bikes to attend the April 16th borough meeting at 7 p.m. to promote May as "Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month"  Come in your leathers or come in you everyday work clothes.

Bike Show is being put on by A.B.A.T.E, April 20 and 21st: Peninsula Center Mall.  Want to show off your bike?  $10.00 entry fee, but remember...that's a couple days of no riding time.
Also, Bob will call A.B.A.T.E. to see when the "Toys for Tots" run will be held.

Love, Inc. is running low on cereal.  Would like a small donation to help them to the end of the school year.

IDEAS

Vic Aye made note that chapters have "colored" vests and wanted to know what is the Chapter P color. Vic thought that it would be nice to have these colored vests to makes us more easily recognizable for next years rally.  Also, these would be great for collecting pins etc. so you don't ruin you leather vests.  Bob Walker stated that Glacier blue is our chapter color.  Bob would check with the Poofy Puffin to see if they may be able to purchase a bolt of fabric in that color and make our vests.

Vic and Helen checked with Barb Smart at Alaska Leather regarding Motorcycle Safety Courses that would certify those who are interested in being an instructor.  The cost for the class would be 500.00 per person and will either be a one week course or three weekends to be held in Anchorage.  Helen will contact Barb to find out the dates and specify that the weekends would work better for those that are interested.  The following have expressed interest: Vic, Lloyd, Rick and Gene.  Anyone else can contact Helen or Vic.

Rick asked that anyone having slides of scenery, or anything else Alaskan, to see him as he would like to do a slide show while he is the M.C. at the rally.
